Denver Gaels Youth Committee is looking forward to hosting kids Gaelic Football in the coming months. We have been working hard with PAL (Police Athletic League) to establish Gaelic Football amongst all kids boys and girls in Denver.

Head Coach Ger Whelan took a troop of us from the Denver Gaels Youth Committee to a Colorado Springs School on Saturday 5/15, we had an hour in the class room with some video and touched on some Irish & GAA history. We then took the kids to the field where we had a fantastic hour of drills and scrimmaging. The kids took to Gaelic Football "like Ducks To Water". This event was a great success with teacher Mr Amos White being a great advocate for Irish sport and history. Amos had researched Gaelic Football and Ireland with his kids long before our trip to Colorado Springs. He is a unique person and persued this experience with us with the passion of an Irish born national school teacher. "One can never underestimate the influence a teacher has on a pupil, you could not but be impressed by Amos White" said Coach Ger Whelan. What a wonderful man.
